Devon Leigh Mooers, also known as Devon Mooers, is a largely self-taught visual artist and children’s picture-book author. She discovered paint pouring in late 2023 and was drawn immediately to the balance between preparation and surprise.

Every pour begins with deliberate choices: color, surface, consistency, movement, and technique. Then the materials answer back. Devon can guide the painting, but she cannot fully command it. That unpredictability is part of what keeps the work alive.

Her writing begins from a similarly observant place: small moments, familiar feelings, and the stories hiding inside an ordinary day. She writes The Adventures of Dexter under her full author name, Devon Leigh Mooers.
